Magnum Launch In Hyderabad !

Magnum, a premium ice cream brand from the house of Unilever, had recently launched in Hyderabad on 18th Feb, 2014 after its launch in other cities. I was part of a few select groups of food bloggers who were invited to the launch party. I am so privileged and excited to be one of the first person to taste the most mesmerizing and alluring ice cream stick.

The event was hosted at The Blue Door which is apt for a premium brand like Magnum. The spectacular evening was set for a remarkable experience. Apart from the product launch it was also a Master Class with Chef Kunal Kapur, to have an experience for a life time. Actress Trisha was also present to give the glamour touch to the brand.

Magnum, the name which is synonymous to Belgium chocolate across the globe, Belgium chocolate is made from the world’s finest quality of cocoa beans. These beans are very carefully selected and in a meticulously controlled process the cocoa is mixed with sugar, cocoa butter and other ingredients to make homogeneous world class chocolate insanity. Belgium chocolate contains 35% of cocoa, which is a trend setter, with perfect balance of bitterness, sweetness and milkyness.

As I entered the location, on the outside I saw huge standees of Ice cream and these were really very appealing. Once inside I saw lot of commotion, no wonder when a most alluring product is being unveiled by another most gorgeous actress Trisha, this is expected.

She was answering to the media queries with lots of elegance and commitment (She sure is a wonderful actress). I actually thought to grab the ice cream but controlled myself from it.

Foodies’ event commenced at 6:30 PM, it was a Mater Class event followed by snacks. The event started with emcee (can’t remember the name) introducing Chef Kunal Kapur and kick start the event. I was wondering what would be the chef’s next move, he started asking “What is chocolate made off?” he got lots of funny answers from foodies and the emcee gave a naughty answer, by now I came to know the event is going to be lots of fun. Then chef started an interactive session with foodies and introduced the distinctiveness of Magnum and he told the exceptionality and uniqueness of it, which I am sure everyone with me accepted it.

Everyone were served with Magnum Vanilla Stick and what happens when food is given to foodies, no guesses they would forget everything around them and indulge in savouring it, this is what happened and the whole place was pin drop silence except for the cracking sound of the ice cream and the reverberating “Hmmmm.....” and “yummms.....” from the foodies.

The unique crack sound of the outer crust, the soft and creamy inner ice cream on the stick made it stand out from the other brands in the market. What I found unique about the ice cream is the use of excess amount of pure cocoa along with lots of Cocoa Butter, which gives a very characteristic difference from other ice cream sticks. It does not leave any after taste or greasiness on the palate; this is a quite exceptional characteristic of Magnum.

.
After the tasting session chef started a Master class with his style of presenting the Magnum sticks with a whole lot of toppings and gave chance to other foodies to experiment with their skills in making their own creation using various magnum sticks and other ingredients.

Chef went around and appreciated the effort the foodies in making their creations. Finally, once the chef checked each table, foodies jumped to grab a bite of their own creation, with that the Master class ended with lots of fun and pleasure to the taste buds.

The event was well thought-out and managed by the PR Team, Ms. Siya was very cordial yet very energetic. Everyone had lots of fun, the snacks served by Blue Door was good too. Finally gifts, a token of gesture for all the participants ended the evening with lots of memories to cherish for a long time.
