Mexican Party Hunters @ Hard Rock Cafe

Hard Rock Cafe (HRC) is one of the most energetic places with very lively ambience, rocking music with good Food & Drinks. As always, the entire place was dynamic and energetic. HRC had invited food bloggers to review their new menu and especially their Mexican Food Fiesta.

They are hosting a month long celebration of Mexican culture with Margaritas, Tacos, Tequila shots and Burritos.

As part of Mexican Fiesta, Hard Rock Cafe would also serve special cocktails, featuring Sauza Tequila, throughout the week.

Let’s talk about food menu which goes like this;

Fire Cracker Crunchy Chicken Strips: Golden panko crusted chicken strios with a busts f spices and flavours served with tangy chipotle Aioli, it was very juicy chicken strips yet crunchy. The dip was little let down which was little bland to my palate.

Tex – Mex Smoked Chicken Salad: Freshly chopped mixed greens tossed with diced smoked chicken pecans, Spiced bacon, roasted red peppers, cheddar cheese and pico de gallo with smoky citrus vinaigrette dressing, Topped with fresh sliced avocado and cilantro. It was really fresh and done to perfection except for the avocados which were very bitter and raw.

Spicy Corn & Cheddar Cheese Samosette: Crispy phyllo parcels stuffed with sweet corn, mixed spices & melted cheese served with fresh roasted tangy tomato dip. Samosette looks similar like our onion Samosa but the filling is the catchy thing which was simply mouth watering. This was the best dish of the day.

Orange Tequila Prawns: Pan seared king prawns glazed with reduced orange chipotle sauce & flambéed with tequila for smoky appeal. The prawns were perfectly done and flavoursome. We ordered thrice and enjoyed it very much.

Barbeque Chicken Tostada: Specially Seasoned charred Chicken grilled Tostada & sweet red peppers, chipotle BBQ Sauce, caramelized onions & jalapenos on a baked thin crust, topped with mixed cheddar cheese and gratinated. Nice and tasty one with perfect smoky flavour.

Tijuana Chicken Tenders: Chicken strips marinated with special in house smoky Tijuana spice served with Guacamole ranch, I like the tenderness of the chicken strips (more like satey) perfectly grilled which gave a unique smoky flavour to it.

Bahama Mama Chicken Tender Burrito: Flour tortilla laced with roasted chipotle chilli ranch, topped with smoke infused baked beans, sweet corn & fresh drill ragout, seasoned chicken tenders, shredded lettuce, mixed cheese & jalapenos. It was served with spiced fries, guacamole & sour cream, nothing gets better than this.

Smocked Chicken & Tangy Bean Tacos: A must try mix of crisp corn tortilla shells brushed with tangy bbq sauce & taco spice, stuffed with crunchy seasoned cottage cheese, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, olives, pinto beans, seasonings & spring onions. It was served with mixed cheese, served with fresh homemade guacamole & sour cream. Very mixed flavours nicely executed.

Sizzlin Skillet Scorched : Hot Walnut Brownie topped with Vanilla Ice-cream and Chocolate sauce, nice way to close ones meal with this dessert.

Now Drinks Menu:

Margarita : A classic amalgamation of Tequila, Triple sec and lime juice. It was done to perfection and absolutely perfect.

Cactus Flower shot : A thrilling mix of tequila and tabasco sauce. This was absolutely mind blowing shot I had in a very long time. The flavours of tequila were enhanced by the Tabasco sauce.

Mexican cosmopolitan : A fruity union of tequila, triple sec, lime juice and cranberry juice. This drink let me down and it was not to my liking.

Tequila slammer shot : A smashing blend of tequila and coke. This was also very nice concoction, liked it very much too.

Fool's Gold : A mishmash of tequila, triple sec, lime juice, coke, tobasco and sugar syrup, it was something which was not something I expected and it really swept me off.

Overall I was satisfied with the variety of dishes and the music has actually pepped up the entire mood. The management folks and chef were very helpful and sportive in taking our suggestions.
